Comment: Long wait times and limited signs or staff instructions. It was difficult to tell if we were in the correct line on our return. We waited 4 1/2 hr for the return ferry. Washrooms only while waiting- not a vending machine, cafe or water fountain in sight. Beautiful ride once onboard.

Comment: Here’s a story. I was first in line and slept there overnight. Around 6AM I realized that my car switched into antitheft mode and wouldn’t turn on. Then the key got locked in the ignition. Then the battery drained. The amazing man at the booth took the time to give me a boost, kept checking in, even though my car was a massive inconvenience to the entire operation. He was asking people he knew if they had tools to help, and when I finally got it sorted and the ferry was gone… he said, “Look, they came back for you.” I couldn’t believe it. Incredible.
Thank you, guys. The ferry service is essential to the lives and economy of Fogo, Change Islands, and so much more. They don’t have to do things like this, but they do, and it makes me proud to live here.

Comment: This ferry service connects Newfoundland with Change Island and Fogo Island. They don’t have reservations and I would highly recommend coming at-least and hour or more before departure time both in Farewell and in Fogo to avoid not having space. We came in late May (off-season) and there was still a long line-up at the ports. The ferry itself is very clean and has plenty of seating.

Comment: The Ferry from Farewell to Fogo was very efficient and on schedule. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot inside the ship, but fortunately it was warm and sunny on the top Outdoor deck with a nice cool breeze!
The terminal itself has no services except a washroom.

Comment: Nice new boat to Fogo. Timely departures. Overall a positive experience. If you’re directed to park on the 2nd level it can be a challenge to drive up the narrow ramp.
