Comment: Chiquilla town is where you get the ferry to Holbox island near Cancun, Mexico. The ferry itself is a very interesting. They load all your luggage from the quay onto the ferry by throwing through a gap in the superstructure. They seem to know what they are doing and it’s all done very quickly. The ferry itself is fast and takes about 30 mins to Holbox. A beautiful ride.

Comment: Best transport to the incredible island of Holbox in Mexico. We used Holbox ferry. The ferry took about 20 minutes to get to the beautiful island of Holbox. There were plenty of seats. The ride over was fun. They quickly loaded and unloaded our luggage. When headed for Holbox – ride the Holbox ferry. There are also plenty of places to keep your car while you go to Holbox, Mexico. Our advice do NOT stop at the first place you see. Drive around to the end of the wharf and turn left. There is a great secure sot you can park there for less.

Comment: I read all the reviews, but it is what it is and that’s 10 US dollars today, in December 2020, for a one-way trip. I think going out there just for one day doesn’t afford enough time, so spend the night, and you can get decent rooms for less than $50 USD.

Comment: These guys run a top notch ferry. Upper deck for breezes and great views. The lower seating keeps you out of the elements. Clean and fast.
