The ferry at the time we went, just crossed as needed, but it seemed to be really needed and was constantly running. I also loved the little park area next to it. It offers anyone waiting some photo ops and a chance to learn about the area. Also next door is a mini beach area and a convenience store across the road. Everything you could want if you’re waiting for the ferry.
