Comment: Don’t waste your time going to this port, it’s terrible, there’s no transportation, the taxis say they’re for excursions but they don’t let you reserve either, there are some free buses, the line is endless but you can’t walk out either, first they don’t let you, second it’s very long. Terrible

Comment: Visited this port as a passenger on the Carnival Valor. All kinds of knickknacks you can buy like magnets, t-shirts, shot glasses, bags, and other souvenirs. The vendors aren’t that pushy and you can haggle for a lower price on merchandise.

Comment: The Progreso Cruise Ship Terminal is more an industrial port. There is a small flea market but not much else. It is also located about one half mile or more, down an over water highway. The only ways to get to town or a tour or rent a cab. It is very different from Cozumel or most other cruise ship ports. Not really convenient if the idea is to walk around.

Comment: Docked here and enjoyed the shopping. There was a free shuttle bus that took us to town for more shopping. So we did more shopping. There was a little place to get beer and drinks. Also ice cream. All and all it was very nice. All of the shop owners were polite and spoke English as much as possible.
