Comment: Listen to AM 1610 if you’re driving into the ferry at Woods Hole – it will tell you which Streamship Authority parking lots are open. Parking cost us $21 for the day in their lot. Parking lots were secure. Bus will take you from the parking lot to the dock where you can buy the ferry ticks. The ferry ride was fun to Oak Buff and took roughly 45 minutes. Plan for an hour to 1.5 hours to board, ride across to the island and getting off the ferry.

Comment: Best deal in town. For $10 one way 45 minutes ferry ride between Woods Hole and Oak Bluffs during summer season, make sure check the official website for schedule. The all weather port otherwise would be Vineyard Haven.
These ships for regular passengers without cars (highly recommended if only a short few days at MV where bringing your car in is too much hassle on my books) are convenient, relaxing. Heavy luggages find the baggage cart at the pier and that will save one from hauling up and down different decks.

Comment: These people are so nice and they always make my trip pleasant. They’re boats are clean and now they’re selling beer also :-). Just make sure if you want to bring a car you give plenty of notice because they book fast. Even on hot days they have air conditioning if that’s what you like.
