Comment: Take the brief ferry trip over the picturesque Tred Avon River from Bellevue to Oxford with your car or bike or on foot. Kids can play in the small park in Bellevue while parents enjoy the water view. There is more to do in Oxford, yet it is pleasant to walk in the sandy strip or the pier on either side. One of the few areas with water access in Talbot County unless you own a multi-miliion dollar property.

Comment: Nice ramp and park area. Picnic area, playground, and basketball court. Water in the Basin between 5-7′ signage on seawall states loading only, no transient slips that I have seen, bummer. Access to the ferry a +. Oxford has all the charm of St. Michael’s without the high prices!

Comment: If you’re touring the Eastern Shore, St Michaels and Oxford are a must, and getting between them you gotta take the ferry for the charm and experience. Oxford is much more quiet, but a great place to walk and grab lunch. If you want a shock, check the real estate prices there!!
