Comment: It’s a great summer trip to take. Especially on a nice day. My mom used to take us, now I took my nephews. It was their first time, so it’s always exciting seeing the big ferry pull in. You don’t realize how big it is until it’s right up in you. But your tickets online, and they just scan the QR code on your phone. But you can still purchase in person. There used to be a shuttle that you could pick up in the parking lot under the bridge. But it’s no more now. I was surprised bc I took it just last year. But it was a Saturday, so parking in Bridgeport is free. I just parked in the street near the train station and we walked under the railway bridge. The boat has different levels. The levels for the cars, and then an inside level and an outside level. Inside you can buy food and drinks. Outside, you get amazing views on the ocean. It can be pretty windy up there and at night pretty chilly, so bring a jacket or sweater no matter, just in case.

Comment: It’s always a great ride. They are very helpful because I need elevator. WISH THEY HAD A DISCOUNT FOR PEOPLE WITH HANDICAP PLACARDS. THEY DO HAVE A DISCOUNT FOR SENIORS 60 AND OVER! THEY COULD MAKE IT CERTAIN TIMES WHEN THE BOAT IS EMPTY.

Comment: We love the ferry we ride it just for the fun of it. We buy one way tickets go to Bridgeport and come right back on the same one. The kids enjoy going to the snack/ food shop and we get a drink at the bar. We usually stay on top but if you don’t like the sun or get chilly you can always go inside. It does have ac.
The bathroom was clean. The ferry is well kept and clean. It was about 1hr 10 mins each way.

Comment: Just went because we’ve actually never been there in the many years we had lived on Long Island. It was very pleasant but it appeared to be more a transportation hub to get to Connecticut or if you had your own boat it would be great. There is a hotel right next to the dock with a great view but I didn’t see a beach nearby. There may be one close but I didn’t see it. Very pretty area
