Comment: The Old Ferry Landing reminds me of many years ago when the Ferries were the easiest route from Port Allen to Downtown Baton Rouge. As a kid we would ride back and forth as you only had to pay if you got off in Baton Rouge. A great area to walk and take in a nice view of the river.

Comment: Very peaceful place for walking, running, studying, meditation, or just watching the Mississippi River flow pass the levee. Beautifulscenery. The lighting at night is beautifully done and well lit for evening walks or runs.

Comment: Historic site of the ferry landing from Baton Rouge on the east banks of the Mississippi to Port Allen on the west side. The ferry itself was discontinued after the completion of the nearby Horace Wilkinson Bridge.
The Ferry Landing site is now a scenic overlook with a good view of Baton Rouge and the Mississippi as it flows past. Plenty of benches and seating space, and a few informational displays spread out at different view points.

Comment: The area was beautiful, quiet and serene. It feels safe and the people who visit are friendly. You can see the city and river from here. Definitely a beautiful place to read, draw, practice your dance or workout.
