Comment: Klondyke ferry is closed for 2023. Vega and Fort Assiniboine are beautiful communities. The Fort Assiniboine Sandhills Wildland Provincial Park is worth the drive. Such a beautiful area for hiking, so many trails. Two avid fishermen were doing unique early ice fishing.

Comment: This is a fantastic place to cross the river! Although the ferry ride is pretty short, it can save you a pile of time so you don’t have to go through Fort Assiniboine. Very beautiful area as well. The only Thi g I don’t like is all the gravel roads. Some are in rough shape and can bang up your suspension, so it’s best to take an SUV or truck. Definitely nice place to check out
