Comment: This access is preferred by those who launch pontoon boats at Farm Island Lake. Parking is limited and the turn past the porta potty is tight, so slow down and downshift to lake time as you embark.

Comment: The South landing isn’t anywhere near as nice or accessible for larger boats as the North landing (dual ramp, steeper drop off, better parking, paved lot, nicer bathroom facilities, etc). The South landing gets the job done and there’s nothing wrong with it…it’s just an average landing. The one upside is that it’s sandy/sediment whereas the North landing is rocky, so if you do mess up in the process of launching/loading your boat the substrate is more forgiving. The South landing is every bit as busy as the North and not nearly as long North to South, East to West, which makes it a pain when there’s a high volume of traffic. The North landing is better under that scenario even if it means parking on the road shoulder versus lot since you don’t have to worry about space/there being an open lane when launching/loading.

Comment: Needs more parking, letting multiple cars park here without trialers doesnt help! Park and ride somewhere else. The access on the other side of the lake is better.
