Comment: Upon arrival, there will be many guides offering their service. We had the first one quoting an overpriced 200 quetzales. Eventually we went with another guide, Israel who charged 100 quetzales and gave us an informative 2 hour tour of Santiago Atitlan. He brought us deep into the market & we tasted different street food. The historical and political insights, & his local knowledge of the attractions make the tour highly worthwhile. He speaks Spanish, some English and can be contacted at +502 4476 6030.

Comment: Great, Santiago Atitlán is an important junction, as far as transportation is concerned, you can go to San Pedro la laguna, Panajachel. Strategic points to go to any place, thank you Google for providing important information to the population that travels to those places, very little information. The ticket from Santiago Atitlán to the capital is Q50.00, from Santiago Atitlán to San Pedro la laguna by boat Q10.00, to Panajachel Q15.00.
