Comment: My mum and I went last Saturday to Disney Springs for the first time ever and brought my service dog along. We took the ferry back to the parking lot in the afternoon to avoid the heat, the wait wasn’t very long and it was completely covered so there’s always relief from the sun. The ferryman (Bobby from New York, New York) didn’t even bat an eye about the presence of Manatee, and didn’t give us the usual “what a cute puppy? can I pet him? How old are you, boy?” Etc. He was really helpful and welcoming to not only us but everybody else boarding. At the marketplace dock, he helped an elderly woman stand and walked her all the way to the railing on the dock, chitchatting the whole way. He then went back and helped her husband in an electric wheelchair off. He was thoroughly polite and personable the whole while. He was kind to us and made Manatee’s first boat ride a fun experience, pointing out the boat cars and joking with us as we went on our trip. I actually can’t wait to go back and will definitely ride the ferry every time just because of how wonderful the ferryman was the entire trip.
4/28 Edit – Franz from Germany is also an amazing dock/ferry cast member and very helpful with boarding and disembarking.
