Comment: Two things to note!
1. It’s $12 for the day to park in the Ferry parking lot
2. Be there early! The ferry leaves right on time if not before posted time. The last ferry of the day out of the Vinalhaven port left about 10 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. So get there early!

They have come through for me a few times a year for over 40 years!! I haven’t been stuck or left with a bad experience once.
Thank you to everyone who works so hard to make our little piece of heaven accessible and in arms reach!!

Comment: Have always been treated well by staff and crew. Recently my Mother suffered a possible life ending health emergency. When discharged from hospital was treated terribly by Sara who hides behind her mask at the service desk. We were trying to get my mother back to her home on Vinalhaven and were met with a cold heart and obnoxious attitude. I actually feel sorry for her that she has no idea how to be kind and helpful during a family’s crisis. I have seen the ferry actually turn around to pick up an islander who needed to get home due to a hospital stay. That’s how wonderful most people here treat each other. We had been to hell and back as a family and it would have been so nice to have been treated with kindness and dignity. The rest of the staff and crew gets 5 stars!!!!!

Comment: Nice boat ride in the fog. Got a car and the crew (theirs and ours) all safely to the island and back. Beautiful views as the fog rolled in.
