Comment: Beautiful visit to Vinalhaven. Glad we go to the ferry early because the last boat out of Vinalhaven left almost ten minutes early. No complaints overall just make sure you arrive at the ferry early!

Comment: While visiting Maine in August, I took a day trip from Rockland out to Vinalhaven. I timed my activities around my departure time back to Rockland, arrived about 15 mins prior, and the vessel was on time. It was a perfect day, and I was able to schedule, plan, and enjoy it all, thanks to a seamless Ferry trip to and from the Island. The Ferry building is quite small, but it works, and the support staff out on the dock was professional and courteous to the passengers and families who had questions. Ample parking close by.

Comment: The ferry service was great I was respectful of their rules and regulations I left my dog at home because it said it was not supposed to have any dogs unless it was a therapy dog and I’ve seen probably six dogs on that boat two of them were pit bulls that kept barking at everybody that was the only thing I hated about the whole thing

Comment: Reliable (and just about the only) way to get across over the water to Vinalhaven and North Haven from Rockland. The building is clean, the employees are helpful. You can either walk on or take a vehicle over.

Comment: Amazing service from the staff!! When I called to pick up my line number, the call dropped out as I was about to speek to the representative. Frustrated and dispairing, I called again but as it was the middle of August I had little hope of getting a line number at this point. When the representative eventually picked up again, she asked if I had called earlier and I said yes. Turns out she had reserved me a spot on the boat just based on the caller ID name on my first call without us even speaking to each other. It was exactly the boat I wanted!! They have a sixth sense!!
