Comment: Took the Brussels ferry today over to the whitmore hotel for dinner the ferry rides pretty quick but it’s nice nothing like getting on the barge and taking a short ride across the river Brussels ferries open full time all season it’s a quick ride to get you across to Brussels and there’s a number of places you can check out we went for the whitmore hotel for their family style dining

Comment: I had no idea where I was going and coming up on this ferry took me by surprise. I had just gotten off the Golden Eagle ferry over the Mississippi R and it cost $9. This one was free, a pleasant surprise.

Comment: Great ferry service across the Illinois river into Calhoun county from north of Grafton, IL for automobiles, bikes and people. (It’s peach season) The ferry is fast, efficient and free. There is a second ferry boat that runs during peak. We had bad timing and arrived at the ferry as it had just left but only waited about 15 minutes before it returned and we were boarding.
