Comment: We did a 4 mile hike with 1600′ vertical to the top of the north wall. 1500′ vertical was acheived in 1 mile, getting steeper at the top. Very hard work, gorgeous view. The second day, we rented kayaks, were transported up river past Horseshoe Bend and then we paddled back. Great fun.

Comment: We rented a tandem kayak and back haul service from Kayak The Colorado. The boat ride from Lee’s Ferry up to the Petroglyph drop off point alone was worth the money. Kayaking back took 4.5 hours, with breaks and picture taking, was just an awesome experience. As easily accessible as this part of the river is, it wasn’t crowded at all. Most of the time we were all alone enjoying the magnificent beauty of this natural wonder in complete silence. Highly recommended experience.

Comment: Lees Ferry is the starting point for boat and kayak excursions along the Colorado river. I had no time to do it but still it was very nice to enjoy some views from river level. To enter the area there’s a 15$ fee that should be paid at an ATM, but there’s no barrier to stop you. If you have the America the Beautiful Pass you don’t have to pay the fee because Glen Canyon is included.

Comment: Lee’s Ferry: A Spiritual Gateway on the Colorado River
Lee’s Ferry isn’t just a historical landmark; today, it became a place of profound personal significance for me. The breathtaking Colorado River served as a stunning backdrop for a deeply moving baptism ceremony.

The historic significance of the location added another layer to the experience. Standing on the same ground where countless pioneers crossed the river, it felt like a connection to the past and the resilience of the human spirit.

Overall, Lee’s Ferry provided a truly unique and unforgettable setting for our baptism ceremony. It’s a place where history, nature, and spirituality converge, making it a perfect location for a momentous occasion
