Comment: An enchanting place through which the French-Swiss border runs along a stream in the middle. Public sandy beach with kiosk on the Swiss side. Public pebble beach with diving tower and restaurant on the French side. Regular landing point for paddle steamers and other passenger ships. Numerous restaurants in all price ranges, charmingly located on the shore. Starting point for either harmless walks e.g. to the neighboring town of Bouveret or fitness-requiring hikes along the stream up to the neighboring town of Novel or straight to the summit of Gramont. They will tend to consider coming back.
