Comment: THE WORST! DON’T EXPECT TO GET THE BOAT YOU PAID FOR. Book any other company. I’ve used them all, and the £10 you think you are saving with this company will cost you so much more. Their boats are the worst, as are their staff. When you go to check in, just look at how much faster P&O ferries processes their customers in the lanes. Everyone on the Calais side for this company seems to be “quiet-quitting” their job by doing the least possible in the worst way. In my case, the check-in agent was deliberatley making her queue wait as punishment because she was upset. Her lack of professionalism and poor work product resulted in me losing four hours of my day (worth far more than their ticket “savings”). Then look at the picture of the boat! It was disgusting. Everything is worn and dirty. The boat is rusted and looks like it should have been decommissioned 20 years ago.

Comment: Very smooth crossing. We were early and they moved us to an early ferry as they were free spots. Allow yourself 2 hours to go through passport controls etc… In case it’s busy

Comment: The worst. I’m embarrassed for the employees who have to offer such a poor check in service. Having crossed the English Channel many times over the past 12 years, this is easily the absolute worst check-in service I’ve ever experienced and it’s excruciating thing so many families have to wait for so long. Could I recommend them? Not even to clean out the caboose.

Comment: The reviews are mostly negative, but to be honest I don’t get them. All went smoothly and on time. It was a great experience. Usually I take the train, but to be honest being above the sea is much nicer experience. The only bad is, it takes longer than train. However it’s up to your time to decide. I don’t see a reason, why I wouldn’t recommend Irish Ferries.

Comment: We chose irsh ferry because it was slightly cheaper than other operators. We arrived at check in early and the staff asked if we preferred to change from 10.30pm to 9pm and we agreed. The ship left the port about 9.45pm. which was ok . I think it would be good if we received the location of the check in instead of the port as when we followed the map that came with the booking it took us to the wrong way.
