Comment: Two ferry companies operate in this area. To reach ferry terminal you need to walk in middle of no where whith all Industrial area around. I did a long walk assuming it would be nice and easy from 3 Arena it took me around 30 to 40 min. If you want to depart or take ferry you can take bus from 3 arena it cost around 10 euro sorry I almost forgot how much I paid but it was around 10 to 15 euro to ferry terminal. Ferry timing please make a note . Irish ferry offer cheap ticket with train included in price which is really good you save a lot in ferry with train offer but ad per my Knowledge to holyhead UK Irish ferry do 2 daily trips one around 8ish second bit late arriving UK mid night . Stena offer frequent service but no train option as of today but both offer good service . On arrival from UK you can take bus or shared taxi to dublin City taxu cost you around 10 euro. Thanks

Comment: My first time driving to the Irish Ferries site wasn’t easy. I was heading for Holyhead. Signposting isn’t good and with so many roads, roundabouts, docks and large vehicles to navigate around the area, I had to use Google Maps.
Arriving at the check in, it’s unclear where to queue because no signs are on overhead gantries. Gate numbers are way too small to see from any distance on approach and lane number markings have queues of traffic covering them up and are therefore useless. The staff seem to assume customers have done this before, but for a first timer it’s very confusing. We just followed everyone else and hoped for the best.
Arrival into Dublin was chaotic when 2 ferries, docked in close proximity, were discharging their contents simultaneously, at night. The Irish Ferries Ulyesses and a massive Stena vessel had about five lanes of traffic channelled into two, causing big queues. Road markings are often badly worn and it unclear where to drive. Vehicles are stopped by traffic lights to allow cross traffic, adding ore delays. And if you’re not moving slow enough already, there are multiple speed bumps and cracked, rutted Tarmac to navigate.
A high-vis clad dock staff had to intervein and stop two artic lorries to prevent my car being squashed between them! Exiting the ferry and getting through the dock was just a chaotic ‘free for all’. Really naff.

Comment: I’ve used this port before to go to the UK. And it’s a lovely port. It could deal with a Railway station aswell because Docklands station is quite a long walk and isn’t open on the weekend and the LUAS stop at the point is also at a distance so if Dublin Port had a railway station, they wouldn’t really need to take a taxi or use the Dublin Bus route 53 to get to The City Centre at some point…

Comment: Confusing access to ferries, you have to drive in the right for part of the route which is confusing. Poorly signed and insufficient queuing area whilst waiting for check in to open.
