Comment: It’s the best/cheapest way to get a view of the Toronto Skyline. There are 3 ferry’s that take you to the island. The schedule is also very good at day and night.

Comment: I havent taken the ferry since before covid happened so I had no idea it had gotten to be like this.
We where cutting it close for the 11am ferry but we arrived at the terminal at 10:50am and were immidaitly greeted by a huge line. We were not too concerned because the boat was there and still empty so we thought by 10:55 we would have started being loaded onto the ferry but there was some kind of delay.
Nobody was around for us to ask if there was issues with the ferry so we just stayed in line as the space where everyone stands in line to wait was filling up quickly behind us.
I tried calling the feery line but could not get a hold of anyone. So me and my Family waited in the heat for another 45 minutes before being let onto a returning ferry, rather than the one that was near us the whole time.
I wrote this on the ride over but yeah if i knew it would have taken so long with no information/ no acknowledgement from the workers i would have bit the bullet and payed the extra cost for the water taxi
The ferry was very overpacked as it was late too…

Comment: Get tickets in advance to skip the longer line to get through buying tickets. It saves little bit of time especially when you still have to wait to get on.
The ferry ride is nice and does have some great views. Does get packed so getting any sort of good spot will be tough if you didnt get on early.
Reason for 3 stars is the wait returning was at least 1hr longer that when the ferry should’ve came in. The line for getting back was the worst there needs to be a better system than everyone rushing shoulder to shoulder and cutting people off.

Comment: It’s always best to buy tickets in advance online rather than waiting in line for a while. During the summer the long lines for tickets take a while and then there is another wait for the ferry itself. People are crowded in one area and push to get on to the ferry. I have seen elderly and children in line but no one really cares about safety. Coming back is another nightmare as you wait so long in the sun until you can finally get on the ferry. If you can not push through, you will be in the line for hours…

We used this ferry to get to Toronto Island Park. It is definitely the cheapest option to get over there, compared to the other single boats with gimmicks to get there.
The positives is that is a good price to get a return ticket to and from Toronto Island, there is plenty of space on board (but if you are last one you may not get a seat), and the views of Toronto as you travel on the water are spectacular.
The negatives are the waiting times for the ferry, if you miss one, it’s a good 30minute wait for the next; and the main negative being the ferry terminal in the city feels like a cattle pen. Very harrowing when people start crowding and pushing to get onto the ferry, you’d think it would be better organised and managed. So be prepared for this in the main terminal. A queue system might create some order, or only selling tickets for a specific time.
