Comment: I recently had an amazing experience on a ColorLine cruise from Oslo to Kiel, Germany, and I’m eager to share it with you. Honestly, this trip was so incredible that I’m already making plans to take my family along next time.

The decision to go on this cruise was actually thanks to a friend we met at a conference. He couldn’t recommend it enough, and now I know why.

Our adventure began with a small glitch while booking tickets on the ColorLine website. Their payment system required mobile verification, either through a code or a call, but we didn’t have a roaming on our mobile SIM. So, our initial card payment got declined. We called their helpline, and they assured us they accepted cards but urged us to come in person. That turned out to be quite an interesting mini-adventure, but let’s save that story for another time.

When we arrived at the cruise terminal around 11 AM, it was bustling with people. Thankfully, a helpful staff member assisted us in booking our cabins, ensuring we got the ones we wanted. We ended up choosing two cabins with queen-sized beds. They were clean and even had private bathrooms, TVs, and comfy couches.

To stay connected during the voyage, I decided to purchase internet access through their Wi-Fi-enabled website for 150 NOK. It was a wise choice because it allowed us to stay in touch with friends and family and share our journey in real-time.

One important tip I’d like to share: When traveling in Norway, make sure you have Norwegian Krone (NOK) with you. Euros aren’t widely accepted, although card payments are quite common and convenient.

The cruise itself, named “Color Magic” from ColorLine, was truly magical. The sundeck offered breathtaking views, and we were treated to a mesmerizing sunrise and plenty of sunshine throughout the journey.

As I sit here on the deck, reminiscing about this unforgettable experience and writing this review, I want everyone to know that taking this cruise is an adventure you absolutely shouldn’t miss. The entire journey takes around 20 to 22 hours, and it’s easy to lose track of time amidst all the beauty around you. Just be sure to clarify whether “10 am” means the next day or evening – technology can be a bit confusing at times. See one of the attached picture why. Lol..
It will be fun if someone mentions in reply what could happen.

I am highly recommended it If you’re contemplating this journey, don’t hesitate – you’ll love every moment of it!

Comment: Effortless embarkation for foot passengers. Nice evening show and well maintained boat. A pleasant way to cross over to Kiel from Oslo.

Comment: Who serves food without water? With a buffet? Plus the crew doesn’t know how to smile. Worse boat trips ever. I have not seen that with any other ferry company. If you can choose, take the Swedish boats.

Comment: Still extremely hot inside. Despite the current global energy situations, Color Line keeps heating the terminal building to the level that a child became sick while waiting for embarkation on the ferry. The ferries are perfect but avoid the terminal building.
