Comment: It was really good experience and the service from the staff was good. At least a 10-15mins wait on average for the ferry service. Takes humans, bikes, cars and lorries across, but with separate area for people.

Comment: Although a quick trip across, the Woolwich ferry was a very relaxing and picturesque ride.
In a relatively nice location with some nice views of the city and the river thames.
They run one throughout the day at 15-minute intervals pretty much every day, although they stop it if its particularly foggy, which isn’t unreasonable.
Selling point: It’s free. So, in theory, you could spend all day going back and forth across this one part of the thames and not spend a thing.
Overall, I would recommend diverting your route if going that sort of direction just for the experience.

Comment: A very handy ferry helping cars and bikers and pedestrians to cross the river Thames at Woolwich. It runs about every 10-15 mins and takes 10 mins to cross. It’s completely free. You also get quite a good view of the Thames Barrier and Docklands. If the ferry is not running there is a food tunnel right next to the ferry. The Woolwich ferry consists of two ferries. The only issue is that it can break down 🙁

Comment: There are about 64 seats for passenger, unfortunately I do not have the interior view of the ferry. I was preoccupied with the outside views from the ferry I might update later with pictures

Vehicles and passengers are crossed for free which most people do not know.
The ferry ⛴ is clean and security personnel are always there to help.
SL2 buses are also at north woolwich side to carry passengers towards barking.

Great view most especially in summer✅ ❤️

Comment: Used it for the first time as the Blackwall tunnel traffic was standstill.
Excellent service can’t fault it. First timed we used it, much better than sitting in 1 hour of standstill traffic
