Comment: The staff are so helpful to get you onto the super little car ferry across Lake Como. €15 per car.

Comment: Horrible service if there’s any. We came with family to spend a nice weekend in Como. We wanted to take the ferry to go to Bellagio but the whole process was ridiculously chaotic, so we had to take a bus. The problem was that there weren’t any available tickets online. The whole system is a scam. After being in a bus for an hour we arrived to Bellagio. Knowing it was super hard to get tickets we wanted to get a ferry ticket back and some man at the front desk told us that in that place they didn’t sell tickets to Como and that we should check the next piazza, something that was not right. I came with a family member that couldn’t walk a lot and the employees made her go crazy going from one place to another in vain, to then tell us it was too late to buy return tickets.
If these employees don’t like working with tourists they should get another job. There are plenty of people that really want to work. Very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to come to Lake Como or Bellagio, they’re overrated villages with rude and bad service.

Comment: Great experience. We did a round-tour from Bellagio to Varenna and back. The ride was super fast (about 15-20min) and the ferry was always on time. You can enjoy the great view outside on the ferry as alternative to the very pricey private boat tours.

Comment: I fully agree with the reviews about the chaotic management of the ferries. It’s something I’ve never experienced before.
While the towns are indeed beautiful, the ferry service ruins everything. Between delays that shorten your time at each destination and ferries being full, leaving you unable to return to the village you departed from, it’s a complete disaster. The staff is nowhere to be found, no clear information is provided, and no one seems to care.
If you can, I strongly recommend opting for private boat rentals instead.

Comment: The entire ferry system at Lake Como was a disorganized disaster the 5 nights we were there. Many last minute canceled departures, boats out of service and long waits over 2 hours. Not the romantic experience seen on you tube for sure. There were hundreds of people left for hours the day we arrived from the Como train station without transportation, let alone ferry service. We ended up having to rent expensive car service to get around the lake…
