Comment: The ferry from Interlaken ost to Brienz was very enjoyable and a different viewpoint than being on land. We went to the last point and then walked to Strandbad beach about a half mile.

Comment: Truly my favorite lake in the country! If you’re not up for water, you can also take the vintage Brienzer Rothorn train just across the street, which will seduce you with stunning views of Lake Brienz and the surrounding Swiss Alps. ⛴️ ⛰️ And if you have spare time, take a stroll along the shore which is plastered with local artwork.
PS: Both the ferry and the train may stop service in some seasons. Make sure to check beforehand!

Comment: It’s just super practical if you can transfer from the ship to the train and only have to walk a few steps. Be careful, study timetables because the ships don’t sail that often. If you have enough time you can marvel at the rustic village of Brienz or if you want to go high you can go to the Brienzerrothorn. The station is also close to the train station. Have fun!
