Comment: We took the ferry from Bellingham to Juneau with stops at Ketchikan, Wrangell and Petersburg along the way. We found the crew to be professional, diligent and attentive. Although the boat (MV Kennicott) was older it was well maintained and had lots of space.
A special call out to kitchen staff who were creative.
Needless to say, views were amazing

Comment: THE TERMINAL: is nice and clean with parking out front. A restaurant (great fish and chips), little gift shop, small maritime museum, restrooms, and areas to walk around outside. Checking in for the ferry was easy as was getting in line for the ferry. The workers who direct vehicles into the ferry have a great amount of patience, props to those people. I totally get why they require you to get there 3 hours in advance.
THE FERRY: we rode the Columbia from Bellingham to Juneau and it was quite possibly the coolest thing ever, I would happily do it again in the future apart from this current trip (in another week we’ll be riding it back from Juneau to Bellingham). SO MUCH TO SEE, multiple stops where you can potentially get off and wander for a short amount of time, nice crew, and the food was better than you’d expect for a ferry. We had a 4 person cabin and it easily accommodated 3 adults + 1 kid. Lots of room on deck if you want to tent camp, just make sure you have duct tape and you’ve used some Scotchgard. Highly recommend binoculars and a good camera as well as a good book! Lots of places to sit and relax, whether it’s in a padded seat or at a table with bench seating. People who don’t use a cabin or tent are able to sleep pretty much wherever they want, which is interesting when you wander around and pass someone sleeping on the floor or wherever they’re comfortable, so keep that in mind (part of the experience to me, others might be weirded out). Showers/bathrooms/laundry available. Unloading was easy and getting to ride up/down on the car lift is super cool. If you have the chance, take the ferry and don’t do a cruise! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Comment: Went from Bellingham to Juneau.
Yes the MV Kennicott is a bit dated but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The showers have a ton of pressure and the water is hot.
Food isn’t anything fancy but huge portions and pretty tasty.
All the staff are lovely and more than helpful if you have questions or want to organize something.
The views are great and there was so much to see!

Comment: My First encounter with the Alaskan ⛴️ system. As a “walk-on”. It was All Good. Smiles 2The Ship Line Company. Bathroom Clean and accessable. Showers too. 1 Dollar gets a towel/washcloth an a wee-bit of a bar of soap. I set up my New Tent. As others set up tents (inside or outside). All persons and families respectful of One a Nother. As it should be in LIFE. Also: random picture – taking – a must of mountains, Sea, stuff.
