Most beautiful location, you can spend hours just sitting on the boat or in the parking lot or in the vehicle looking outside.
Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. We didn’t have to wait few minutes to complete the check in our vehicle! Something new with state owned business.

Comment: We rode the ferry from WA to Haines, stopping along the way. It is amemory of a lifetime. If you can, and you will be on overnight, skip the cabins and sleep on the aft deck. Pitch a tent or sleep on one of the chaise lounges under the roof. It will not disappoint.

Comment: If you visit Juneau, you have to ride the ferries to get around. It’s a beautiful 4 hour trip to Haines with mountains towering over both sides of the route. There are a variety of amenities onboard each ferry, but in general, each one has a comfortable seating area for those who want to stay inside and rest, a mess hall, cabins, restrooms, parking for vehicles below deck, and heated observation decks

Comment: Does what they’re supposed to do – get folks in the boat. The ferry is a great trip – whales, dolphins, etc for $59 to Haines. Good chow onboard also.
