Comment: Well run operation. Great punctuality, felt safe the whole time, and plenty of space. The timing is very convenient and location/cost is great. Had no idea that coming back from Bainbridge was no cost, so that’s even better and meant not having to be quite as early on that end. They say to get there 30 min early, I did on my first trip then was 10 min early for all others and that was fine. Top it off with AMAZING views and it’s worth doing even if you don’t really need to!

Comment: The ferry ride itself is a highlight, offering panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains, Mount Rainier, and the cityscape of Seattle. As the ferry departs from Bainbridge, passengers can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the island’s evergreen shorelines and tranquil waters. Upon approaching Seattle, the iconic skyline, featuring the Space Needle and surrounding skyscrapers, comes into full view, creating a perfect backdrop for photos and sightseeing !!!

Comment: Riding the Ferry as a first timer visitor from Utah this was an excellent experience. I personally WOULD recommend taking your car if you want to explore Banbridge, especially if you’re not up to a lot of walking. But be smart about it to avoid wait times. Getting on the Ferry around 10am after the morning rush and back on after lunch about 3pm before evening rush isn’t bad. It is more expensive. $12 for the car and $10 per person both ways.
If you don’t take your car it’s $10 for a round trip.
Walking around the Ferry is fun. There are snacks to buy and good views to be had from everywhere including the windy decks.
Taking your car on is kind of a fun experience. I have no idea how they fit 200 cars on every time! They do a great job and it feels clean!

Comment: Took my partner and son and new puppy on the ferry for the first time. I grew up in the area and we rode ferries often, but it’s been 20+ years since I’ve ridden these ferries and it brought back a lot of memories.
It was such a gorgeous day, perfect for a ferry ride. We could see everything for miles. Can’t wait to check out another ferry to another destination next time!

Comment: I think they built a new sky bridge for the ferry. The ticket counter does not have tap technology for payment. Bathrooms in the ferry terminal are clean. The ferry itself has a lot of space. You don’t have to worry about all the people getting on, there’s still plenty of space to sit and move around. The ferry moves very slow so no issues for people who are concerned about sea sickness. It takes about 30-35 minutes to get from Seattle to bainbridge island. They have vending machines on the ferry too.
Updating this post to let you know that they have PUZZLES on some of the tables!!!!!!! So much fun while you ride the ferry. Honestly, the highlight of the ferry ride for me!!
