Comment: Very enjoyable trip to/from Brittany on the Pont Aven. Loading is a bit of a PITA!, but not much the passenger can do about that, just sit, grin and bear it. Once your on tho’ the holiday starts.
We had a two berth cabin – perfect, spotlessly clean, and comfy enough – although on the return journey I did bring my own pillow on board and could have done with another.
Staff are really friendly and most of all – patient.
Prices are very expensive, but passengers are a captive audience. However some very good alcohol bargains (in comparison to Ireland prices) in the duty free shop.
I’d love to have tried the ‘fancy’ restaurant, but it wasn’t that kind of holiday, this time.
One thing I made a big mistake on was not bringing my bike on the car. If it’s a standard length car there is no extra charge to carry a bike(s) on a rear carrier. If the bike is carried on the roof, there is an extra charge.
On the return journey from Roscoff the sailing time is 11pm -ish and I didn’t think the cafe/restaurant would be open, but they were, but we’d already eaten (takeaway pizza) in the car.
I can’t recommend highly enough a side trip to the beach at St.Pol de Leon if you are too early for your ferry. It is absolutely gorgeous and we spent a few hours there prior to our return journey to cork.
Definitely going again.

Comment: Brittany ferries have a wonderful first class restaurant that you can fine dine or self catering ,
. There’s two cinemas on the boat , a shop that you can browse around buy , wine tobacco , perfume , lipstick , make up, you can even get your nails ,
All the cabins are clean and comfortable.
The dog friendly cabins are very clean and it’s lovely to have your dog with you
. But likewise the dog kennels are clean don’t forget your doggie bed and toy for the dog .
Sometimes Brittany Ferries have to delay the crossing due to weather conditions , It’s for our safety and well-being.
This does not happen very often .

Comment: We travel regularly to France but in Ireland the club voyage offer only available in U K , seems totally unfair considering the money we have spent so far .Otherwise a great ferry company

Very cheap, great food!!! Crew were very friendly and mostly French!
I used to go Cherbourg/Rosslare. Not any more. Only Roscoff /Cork for me from now on!
