Comment: Boarded the ferry at Roscoff, day crossing, nice and smooth trip, restaurant food good, had a cabin so we could shower and have a snooze, although we only had one towel. Great to be able to walk around outside on deck and get some last sun rays. Several places inside to sit and amuse yourself, entertainment, cinema and arcade machines. Just so expensive to go over with a motorhome.

Comment: I sailed on Armorique. She is beautifully maintained. I could not ask for more from the staff in the terminals and from the Crew onboard. Please read about the kids (below.)The food was standard cafeteria food. The food lines were moved efficiently, and the prices were reasonable for food and drink. The premium wifi (€20) worked well, except the connection dropped briefly once. I marked our progress across the water, and, after half the voyage time, we were about 65% of the way. We did not arrive early, because the speed of the ferry was greatly reduced for the remainder. We arrived exactly on time. There weren’t any taxis waiting in Cork, but the ferry office called one for me. It took 25 minutes to arrive. The taxi driver told me local traffic is horrible when the ferry docks. So they avoid the situation. Okay, now about the kids: the staff told me there were 400-500 kids booked (out of 1200 total passengers.) Before the ferry even left Roscoff, parents disappeared and kids ran around the ship, literally. Running, climbing on tables, lying on the floor wrestling, chasing, yelling, spinning around on club chairs, accidentally spilling drinks, etc. This continued until around 11:30pm. At this time, families spread out camping mats and backpacks. When I asked the staff if this was the norm, they smiled and said, “well, this is the season!” I will include pics of a few of the unsupervised kids. I would have asked their parents for permission, but none were available. If I were to travel on these ferries again, I would only do so in a private cabin. (Cabins apparently sell out far in advance, and my trip was last-minute. )
