Comment: Holly beach is a cool place it’s had its fair share of hurricane hits but always keeps going. The beach has few folks on it and is shell collectors paradise. It has good fishing too. Redfish is king but it also has a good assortment of other fish. Shark fishing is good there too lots of black tips in the area.
There are camp grounds in the little town and also homes you can rent . If you are going to book a rental , plan a head ,way ahead they stay booked cause it’s a cool place.
Lots to see lots to do in a very laid back little town.
Got a little off there this is supposed to be the ferry service.
Cost a dollar can watch domains play while waiting.looks like they are upgrading the loading area.

Comment: A nice quiet place to enjoy. Alot of beach to pick a spot. Sand is a little soft, so beware of heavy rigs. Driftwood was plentiful.

Comment: Be aware of that route, bridge closed on that date!
We traveled from Cameron to Holly. There was a sign, one digital sign, hidden behind an asphalt crew. We missed it and hadn’t a chance to see the sign behind the crew. Wasted time. Argh.

There are no other signs on route 82 warning of closed bridge, 30 miles! Google maps showed open as work crews traverse bridge. Please check yourself before you say Argh!.

Comment: Short and fast ferry just for one dollar. A delphine showed twice from the water while travelling on ferry. Was cool.

Comment: To ride a ferry headed westbound, the cost is $1 per car and 50 cents for pedestrians (people who walk onto the ferry).
To ride a ferry headed eastbound, there is no charge.
