Comment: While the ride was fine, for new visitors, they don’t have an organized system. They should have a sign explaining that you are not likely to find parking on the island. So, pedestrian entry is recommended. They should as well point out that street /covered garage parking is available nearby. Street parking can be free depending on the street and day of the week. Sunday’s are free. They should also note that advance ticketing is how they roll. Not as you enter.

Comment: We took the ferry to Peak Island. You can purchase your tickets ahead of time, walk around Portland, and then catch the ferry to the islands. We explored Peak Island. The boats were clean, and the staff were amazing. Definitely recommend riding the Ferry over to one of the many islands.

Comment: The sunset tour was dreamy It was a long ferry ride with great explanations, lots of room on the boat to sit and see different point of views. The sights were just fantastic. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Portland!

Comment: Nice ferry service to get to the islands. We parked outside in the public lot and walked in following the signs to buy tickets. Service was quick and they had seating. We missed the previous ferry by a few minutes so we had to wait a little while. There is a rush to get on the boat because everyone wants an outside upper level seat. Pay to get on the island, and the return included ride you didn’t need a ticket for.

Comment: Sunset tour was great! Lots of room to sit and walk around. Boat was not rocky at all. 3 hours minimum would be needed for this trip.
