Comment: Good ferry terminal Hirtshals -> Kristiansand. Smooth processing, generally, and no problem as a cyclist without ticket, you’ll get the tickets at the booths (it looked to me as if this was true for cars as well, but better check this in advance ;-).
It’s an approximately 4-hour ride, lotta restaurants &/or snack bars. If you are a smoker—as I was at the time—, don’t forget to get cigarettes in the duty free shop. Cigs may be expensive in Denmark already but, boy, are they expensive in Norway… (pics & vids June 23, 2023).

Comment: Fantastic trip to and from Denmark, comfortable seats and good food, embarking and disembarking was smooth and swift and the crossings were amazing. Only downside would be the duty free shop advertising that you could buy 2 trays of beers for 299 and it was only available for the crossing to Denmark, not very well highlighted and also shouldnt have been advertised on the crossing to Norway, or at the very least you could tell/warn people that it is too much for Norwegian customs and let me decide whether to declare it or not when I arrive in Norway, thought that was the reason for having a Goods To Declare section in Customs

Comment: We took the Color Line from Demark to Norway on the 10th May 2023(Wednesday).
There was just a visual check of your passport and boarding pass before getting on board. make sure you don’t keep passport in your luggage.
It was a pleasant trip as they have cafeteria and duty-free shopping, and we were told it’s cheaper to get alcoholic drinks here than in Norway.
It turns out to be correct!.

Comment: Very efficient ferry service. We pre-booked the buffet lunch in the ‘Catch me if you can’ restaurant which was delicious. A cold buffet with lots of fish and shellfish and a hot buffet. Plenty for those who aren’t keen on fish too. The buffet restaurant was very comfortable too.
