Comment: Taking the ferry to Coronado is a fun way to see the San Diego harbor from the water. We parked at the Midway parking lot ($15.00 for 6 hours during off season). There are benches on the top deck but you can stand if you prefer. The ride is short and the ferry landing takes you to an area with restaurants and shops. This is a fun activity for family and romantic for couples. The ferry is $8.00 each way

Comment: When I walked up to the ticket counter, the lady was friendly and knowledgeable about the ferry. And the ticket office is conveniently located right across from the ferry terminal and right next to a couple of good restaurants.
Boarding started right on time. The ferry has lots of room downstairs when you first board and if you go upstairs, there’s plenty of seating. When the weather is nice, I recommend sitting up top because you can get amazing views and photos of the San Diego skyline and Coronado Island.

Comment: It was a really nice service they have, I enjoy the quietness and peace from the morning ride to Coronado. Although it was a little cold, you still can’t beat the view. The ferry fee is free for commuter (include the ride back). Commuter hours are Mon-Fri, except for weekend and holidays, so plan your commuter before hand.
Personally, I liked it, a calm and relaxing ride in the morning before getting to work is very nice.

Comment: Quick way to get to Coronado. About a 15 minute ride. One way is about $7. Lots of places to sit. First level is inside and 2nd level is wide open to feel the breeze and sun on your face. No bathrooms. There were places to park your bike.
