Comment: The boarding area for the ferry to Bastia in Corsica is pretty straightforward. The signage is clear, and the ladies at the booths are helpful. I recommend getting here well in advance, though. Unfortunately, we missed the morning ferry. Bummer. Luckily, we managed to reschedule our reservation for a later time in the afternoon, and it cost €30. The lady at the counter said that normally this isn’t possible, and if you miss the ferry, you have to pay the full amount again. I’m not entirely sure if that’s really the case. I highly recommend not being late.
The ferry’s pretty nice overall. There are a few places to grab a bite, and we found some surprisingly good cannelloni and rice with meat at Yellows. The kids’ play and game areas could use a bit more variety, but they do the job. The upper deck is great—lots of room to chill and soak in the awesome views.

Comment: My suggestions for improvement: The staff on the Livorno ferry could definitely be friendlier. A more polite manner and greater willingness to assist would significantly enhance the travel experience. The ferry seems to be in an outdated condition and requires renovation. New carpets, chairs, and overall modern furnishings would uplift the onboard ambiance. If dogs are allowed on board, appropriate facilities should be provided for them. Artificial grass and clean disposal options for dog waste would be a welcome improvement. The conditions of the onboard sanitary facilities are unacceptable. Cleanliness and hygiene should be top priorities and urgently improved. Surveys should inquire about the status of the pool if it is actually in operation. The information should be current and relevant. The website is also in need of improvement to better inform customers about the services and the condition of the ferry. The Wi-Fi code didn’t work, which was a frustrating experience. Likewise, the booked Express Boarding did not function as expected.
My opinion on the crossing: Overall, my experience on this ferry was disappointing. The staff’s rudeness, the poor condition of the facilities, non-functional Wi-Fi, and the disappointing Express Boarding all marred the experience. The cabins were acceptable, and I appreciate the honesty of the staff when my wallet was found in one of the cabins. Boarding in Bastia went smoothly, and the staff there were more polite. Nevertheless, there is an urgent need for improvements on this ferry to justify the high prices. The information on the website should be updated to better inform future passengers and avoid disappointments.

Comment: Love the uncomplicatedness and what you get for a very competitive price, having travelled with a dog on lots of different ferries this is by far the nicest experience! Staff are very helpful and the boat has a very chilled and friendly vibe!

Comment: My ferry back was canceled, when I was on Corsica, with the reason “event beyond our control”. I had to go at a different time and to a different destination port, which cost me a whole day of time and money. There are dogs everywhere on the ship without muzzles and stink and mess from them. The restaurant, where there was almost nothing, closed half an hour after setting sail. They only spoke “no english” in the restaurant. It took an hour to unload the car.

Comment: Terrible for passengers on foot. No bus, nothing. You just need to find the right place in the port and the docking number which is not on the reservation. Thank god we came with a taxi otherwise it would take us half an hour just to walk around the port. The actual ferry smells of soap and eggs and the windows are old and dirty so you can’t even see the views unless you go outside. They covered windows with curtains to fool you, so you don’t look. The service is very busy with not enough seats for everyone in restaurants and cafes. The main interior of the ship looks like 90s and does not seem clean. The service was delayed by one hour (which is expected from reading all the reviews). They also cancelled our original ferry so don’t book if you need to make a connection! The only saving grace is that the ferry is so big you are unlikely to get sea sick and the pastries at the cafeteria were not too bad. I would stir clear of the service, especially if you require a crossing that’s more than few hours long.
