Comment: Don’t know what to report about a quick ferry ride across the river at Evendale.
Did get out of the car and spoke to the man responsible for loading and unloading vehicles. Both friendly and pleasant, and gave me some requested advice on the area.

Comment: Short Crossing over the St John River connecting Evandale to the road to Norton. Visibly picturesque area along the river. There is no charge associated with the crossing of the ferry. Ferry usually operates 24-7 unless signage indicates otherwise.

Comment: I wasn’t on the ferry but I did drive by it on our pontoon boat. Captain is very thoughtful as they understand the water ways. They will let you pass instead of rushing across the river.
