Comment: Don’t get stuck on the other side when the public boats stop running. My partner and I had to pay $15 usd each to come back after 530 pm on a Saturday.

Comment: I love Panajachel, the other villages and lake Atitlan in general. It’s such a good place to relax and contemplate the amazing view.

Comment: The boat rides are nice. You can go to other small towns nearby. The view of the volcanoes is just awesome! A must in Panajachel. Approximately 20 USD per person in a private boat. Staff is friendly.

Comment: This is not the main place to get boats to other towns on the lake. That’s on the other side of town at the end of Calle del Embarcadero. This place does have public boats direct to Santiago Atitlán, but they only run until about midday, there are no posted prices, and departures depend on how many people show up. To go to Santiago you might be better off going to the desk on the beach right at the end of Rancho Grande street, where the price is set at Q30 one way or Q50 round trip, and boats leave until 3pm *if* there are enough people who want to go (it’s still more reliable to go in the morning).
