Comment: How fun to take a ferry ⛴ across the Ohio River. Huge barges going by and very friendly workers. We wanted pizza and thats the way we went. Takes an average of 1/2 hour if it runs longer get out of your vehicle and enjoy the whole trip. Give me an excuse and I’m riding, saves on gas too.

Comment: I’ve grown up crossing this ferry, mostly to go visit my great grandmother in Harrisburg Illinois until she passed years ago. I still have some cousins that live in Harrisburg but don’t visit them as much as we did when Grandma was still with us. But riding the ferry across the Ohio River is a cool experience!! Anyone who comes through Marion Kentucky should go down Hwy 91 & ride the ferry across the river. It doesn’t cost anything to ride it. If nothing else you can ride across to Cave-in-Rock Illinois & turn around & ride it back. If you’ve never rode a ferry across a river? I recommend you go, it’s a cool experience.
