Comment: From the train station, we headed down the path and made it to the bottom with up and down climbing along the way. There are not handles in several places to hold on to and the stairs are not even, so be careful. The steep stairways are not for the faint of heart, I had to encourage our group along the way and in the end went ahead and scouted to make sure I wasn’t going the wrong way.
I would suggest going down but ride the Ferry out.

Comment: I suppose this ferry line provides some of the most spectacular coast views in the world. We took Linea 2 from Monterosso to Riomaggiore and came to one word: FANTASTIC!

Comment: a lot of people both on the descent and on the boat. when you want to leave and go to the port, come early. the ship does not stay in the port very much and you have a high chance of not getting on board. it stays the same for both directions so you have to be very careful when your ship arrives that nobody cares about anything. otherwise wonderful landscapes, preferably to come in extraseason
