Comment: This was my first time on the ferry. The wait wasn’t long to board. The ride is calm, and if you’re lucky, you get a front row parking spot. No fee, just drive on and drive off.

Comment: Such a convenience to take the ferry from Chippokes State Park to Williamsburg. Scheduling was frequent enough that we didn’t have to wait and the staff work so efficiently to facilitate easy boarding and departing. Oh and did I mention it’s free!?

Comment: We don’t ride the ferry for work but we ride it a decent amount back and forth since we live so close to the Jamestown side. The workers are great, the views are awesome and my kids love riding. A great free way to see the James River.
