Comment: We took the ferry from Playa Tortuga to Isla Mujeres and had a great experience. The fleet is new, spacious, and clean. There’s entertainment and concessions (snacks, drinks, beer) on the boat on the way there. Remember you’ll need cash in Isla Mujeres, as very few places take credit cards. Tickets were affordable and the day trip was a great way to spend a leisurely day. Smooth ride, if you’re worried about motion sickness.

Comment: The ferry did a great job, fast and efficient. The island was a bit of a let down though, very full of litter and sharks (people aggressively trying to sell you things) There is however, an absolute abundance/oversaturation of fresh coconuts on the island, if you’re looking for coconuts to drink from then Isla Mujeres is the place.

Comment: Ferry goes out every 30 minutes out to Isla Mujeres. There is goodies and drinks on both ends of the ferry. Cost is about $25 per person round trip. Definitely worth making the trip…keep your eyes on the water so you can catch a glimpse of turtles, and fish.
