Comment: Sapelo Ferry is for people not vehicles. You better have an invite to the island and pre-arranged transportation. The island is wild and primitive and awesome.

Comment: I’ve been to the Reynolds Mansion on Sapelo only once, in March last year, and I loved it. You are living history in this beautiful, secluded mansion that’s also been visited by several US presidents. If you like calm, quiet, natural beauty, this is the place.

Comment: This is definitely something anyone visiting the Georgia coast should experience. The ferry ride is beautiful and takes the passenger from a river, into a large sound, crossing the intracoastal waterway (ICW) and up another river. There is a commanding view of the marsh and islands, and from the sound mouth off into the Atlantic Ocean, with the Sapelo island lighthouse standing out. It’s a passenger only ferry and reservations are required to ride ferry and visit the island.

Comment: Just a boat ride away from a historic seclude d view of the past. Starting in 2000 bc when an early native American tribe inhabited the island until present time this is a wonderful spot to visit.
