Comment: Great ferry option to Isla Mujeres. I recommend purchasing tickets before to avoid the chaos at the terminal. Walkable distance from the hotel zone and nice views.

Comment: Bought our tickets at Playa Carocal, stood around waiting for the boat and when asked when it arrived was told we departed at Playa Tortugas. They should have told us before we bought tickets that the ferry no longer came to Playa Carocal. Then we’re out $20 for taxi to other ferry.

Comment: Ferry ride was nice. Ferry was comfortable. But like others have said the guys selling the tickets will scam you. A extra tax in American money 14 dollars. But overall nice experience to use to get to isla. Just be ready to get added taxes to the trip.

Comment: This ferry is nice only if you book your tickets online. The agent at the gate will FORCE you to pay mxn $100 per person in cash saying it’s a tax but will give you no receipt (I feel this is a scam and they pocket that money) plus when you pay the ticket price they already charge extra tax on top of the base ticket price.
The ferry itself is nice ride to the island.
On the ferry you will have options to buy beer/snacks. On return ferry, they will have some local artist playing music on the upper deck who will ask you for donations so if someone is looking for a peaceful ride back, they unfortunately have to sit inside.

Comment: Location was cash only. Prices were higher in person than online. They would not match their own online prices. I asked why it was significantly more expensive than online, they said “taxes”. I ended up purchasing the ticket through the website on the spot, the qr code was delivered immediately. The ferry ride was nice and comfortable. You can sit on the deck or inside an AC area. The waiting area enters through a nice restaurant/bar. My advice is to purchase the ticket online before entering unless you want to pay higher prices at the gate.
