Comment: They operate a very organized and scheduled system for transportation to and from fishers island. I take the ferry everyday for work and it always leaves at 7am or just a few minutes after, so I can always make it to work on time. There is plenty of seating throughout the boat both inside and outside on the decks. Bathrooms are available and seem to be kept clean at most times.

Comment: They have exorbitant hidden fees including charging a higher rate to transport a pedal bicycle ($55 each direction per bicycle, not including the rider) than a motor vehicle.
This seems to be an appeasement to the section of Fishers Island within a gated development.
It serves to restrict access to public beachfront of our state, as access by motor vehicle is also restricted to the beaches, and walking those distances is difficult for older folks.
$110 to take a bicycle round-trip on a walk-on ferry is a ridiculous and extortionate choice – especially when not transparently disclosed during the booking process.

Comment: This is not my first time on the ferry, but it is the first time I’ve driven my car on and I was very nervous. Luckily the guys who direct you are super stars and know exactly how to pack all these vehicles with no problem. Everyone is very professional and friendly!
