Comment: They make you rent a boat in person, can’t do it over the phone or online. Drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to do so. then another 30 minutes to find the place (they aren’t located where they say they are on the website.) Just to find out they are on base and you have to have a military ID in order to rent a boat. You’d think they would have mentioned this little detail in the 4 different phone conversations we had and when I told them we were driving all that way. Exceptionally poor customer service and a ruined weekend. VERY disappointed.

Comment: The blue green algae is thick in there right now and the water stinks and is thick green. The ramp at the bottom was really slick and slimy. The night lights weren’t turning on

Comment: I had high hopes for this marina but they were dashed when we finally made it out there. There are a few boats for rent from MWR. The camping spots are very primitive. Some have a fire pit and/or a picnic table but there are no privies near the campsites. There are 2 near the marina. There is a playground and a sandy beach, but the area had a lot of litter and reeked from the nearby privy. My husband likes to fish out there occasionally and pick mulberries. Be careful walking up the hill from the water on the beach, there are lots of prickly weeds and LOTS of poison ivy. There is also poison ivy on the elevated trail between the beach and the marina.

Comment: Really nice little place for the family to spend the day. There’s a little playground with picnic tables and bbqs, fishing along the banks, a boat ramp and able parking, and a little swim beach. We love it here!
