Comment: Oh no, Mr Bill, you don’t need a lifesaver on the Golden Eagle ferry. The ease and skill the pilot has is amazing, especially during this period of high river levels when the river is running swiftly. Like everything else, the fare has gone up. It is now $9.00 one way for a car or truck. I always love riding the ferry. It is especially nice around sunset.

Comment: Nice way to get over to Grafton for the day! It’s not a bad price for a one way ticket across the Mississippi and if you want to go for a drive to enjoy the day there isn’t a better way. I recommend taking it over and turning right on the river road then taking 367 back to West Alton then taking 94 back to St. Charles.
