Comment: It would be so easy to manage the passengers with vehicles especially motorcycles in a better way.
Before embarking you are left in the full sun for hours while the trucks are loaded. No need it would be simple to let the bikes go first. Same disembarking. Trucks first even though it is obvious there is no need for the bikes to wait.
The room with a window was comfortable but the bathroom needs a refit.
Food on board is nothing special. The restaurant can be expensive for service station quality food. Some of the staff in the cafe and restaurants are clearly not interested and don’t want to be there. The reception staff were very helpful and obliging.

Comment: Looks like a cruise from the 90s that was never renovated, the place was filthy. The food was so expensive and such poor quality! We took the service from Civitavecchia to Barcelona. There was garbage, dust, papers on the floor everywhere. I haven’t experienced such bad treatment by employees, the disregard, the long faces, zero customer service, treating you like they were doing you a favor, even giving misinformation when asked a question. The swimming pool and deck is a joke, poorly preserved.

Comment: This was actually a really great ferry. Plenty of room in the cabins, lots of food options and drink options all around deck 10. It’s the nicest ferry we’ve been on. Much better than traveling on train or bus. Service was just fine. Not stellar, but killing people with kindness made them turn around and be much nicer. The room was fine & clean. All the issues people have had with the air unable to be turned off is on them. There is a black nob in the middle of the air flow that you can turn to close the vent or increase & decrease the flow. Simple.
The main issue was how late it is, both leaving and arriving. Secondly, there are no taxis for people that walk, merely a shuttle bus that only takes you outside the gate and drops you off, half a mile from the train station. We had to walk that to make the last train of the night into Rome. I wouldn’t take a night ferry again, a day one would be best.

Comment: I hoped this would be a mini- cruise but it’s really an upgraded trucker ferry. For example they say no campaign but the first seats to go (for the full 24hrs) are the ones up front.
The food is pricey but good if you avoid the queues.
I really don’t understand the policy of all non-drivers in the car joining the passenger queue and being searched when the driver and the car are not checked.
Nothing went wrong but still not recommended over an equivalent long drive.

Comment: Italian Company for ferry transportation. We used it for barcelona to Rome route. Here is my experience;
Departure: Barcelona 17/04/24 at 23:30 (want to make sure the authorized people see and understand my comment)
– The price was reasonable for that long distance.
– The ferry is very large and have different opportunities for food.
– The rooms are fine for a ferry if you dont expect 5* cruise ship
– The manager of the guest relations and the ferry, whose office is at the right next to rooms at 7th floor; he was intelligent, polite and very helpful. (The tall man with black hair wearing uniform )
He is the right fit for that position. He is the problem solver!
– The other uniformed man who works with him (has ginger hair with long beard) was very helpful and kind either.
– The barista on the pool deck was polite and friendly! We liked him a lot.
On the other hand
There is no sign, nobody at entrance of the port of barcelona. We tried multiple entries, and find at last on our own. There was people after you entered the port.
In the ferry;
The lady in the reception desk at 7th floor was very very rude. We already paid for dinner. We get into ferry at midnight so we have to eat it next day right? She said dinner was for first day and we missed the chance!! Even if we wanted to eat, all restaurants are closed dinner service at midnight. She said; it is nothing to do with her. Insisted us with a bad attitude; to send a mail to the company! I said; you are the one behalf of the company here. Then the manager came and solved the problem. But if he had not come there, the money we paid for dinner was wasted. I am not sure if someone wastes her 60 euros for nothing and tell her okay send a mail…
The rooms were fine, but! the toilet in the room was tiny and a bit dirty, it was impossible to have a shower inside. my bed sheets are fine but some of them was dirty either. I dont expect anything five stars, but it has to be bare minimum. Rooms needed maintanance.
The other thing ,
The cafe (which locates on the middle with red chairs) stuff was very rude and behaved like we are refugees. They yelled at people, eyerolled, huffed all the time. They cannot say even ”wait here”, only hand gestures like ”go away”.
The crowded groups of students were there. They make it a noisy ride. Some embarrasing talk show thing on the best sea viewed lounge area. It was dissaponting that is not quite anywhere.
The restaurant cashier while breakfast was not polite either.
All in all;
After leaving Spain with this ferry, you appreciate the politeness of Spanish people. The attitude of italian people are rude. They sick of tourists all over the country.
