Comment: Love this ferry, it’s a great ride to Anna Maria Island and such a great price! Been on this 4-5 times already in the past few months & love the free trolley & buses around town! If you just want to see the sunset you don’t have to get off of the boat, leave RW at 7 head to island for pick ups and head back ! Captain Nick is my ultimate favorite with the best first mates Traci or Charlie & I can’t forget Captain Rick( but I may have gotten his name wrong)because he’s super cool too! Love the boat & the workers make it even better !

Comment: Had an amazing day on the Ferry and AMI. Our Captain, Nick, and First Mate Charlie kept us entertained and informed while on board. Smooth sailing for a busy Easter Day on the water. Definitely will return and highly recommend it for others. It is a great way to spend the day without worrying about driving and parking.

Comment: What a great date day! I booked the boat tour for my hubby and I to have a date on Ana Maria island it was so nice . I would suggest booking 10:00am-1:00pm originally we booked 10:00am-11:30am but Terrie/boat lady advised us to change it to get the full island experience and she was right . The ride was beautiful and so relaxing . Great spot to take pics on the island with shops and places to eat. Such a cool affordable experience.

Comment: This was our third time on the Gulf Island Ferry. It’s a terrific opportunity for a great, relaxing, inexpensive boat ride over to Anna Maria Island or down to Bridge Street. The crew that we’ve met so far: Terri, Tracie, Charlie, and Captain Jonathan have been very safety conscious, patient, kind and helpful. We are hopeful that the Gulf Island ferry will continue and that more people will hear about it and join the fun.
Just a suggestion, communication between patrons & Gulf Island service could be enhanced by emailing patrons that changes have been made to their excursion. For example, We were planning to go directly to Bridge Street today, however, when we arrived only one boat was running at 10:00am (from The Bradenton Riverwalk) & needed to go to Anna Maria Island first and then Bridge Street. This increased the planned boat ride by adding an additional 45 minutes until Bridge Street arrival. The boat trip duration shortened the time that we could eat lunch & be on time for the 12:30 return boat trip. We were directed to call Gulf Island Ferry to change our return departure time from 12:30 to 3 PM. The people on the phone were very helpful and wonderful and there was room on the 3 PM boat.
Another time, upon arrival at the Riverwalk dock, we discovered because of high winds the ferry could not dock at Anna Maria and so went to Bridge Street, which was great if you’re up for adventure and riding the free trolley! The ferry is a fantastic trip and a fun treat; just be prepared to be flexible.

Comment: Had a great time taking the ferry to Bridge Street today. We weren’t sure what to expect but the ferry was very clean with fun crews. It was a perfect day to enjoy the water ride, trip to the beach (if you like) and lunch. Lots of restaurants to choose from and cute shops to explore. We saw manatees & a dolphin! Will definitely be taking this again very soon!
