Comment: Much better than I expected. Low key terminal with a small cafe and shop. When we were there no stress about boarding and no queues. Friendly staff. Only thing that they could do is give more information to first time travellers such as what happens to the luggage when you board. (It is the same as airports it is taken off you and then placed in a container and delivered back to you on a conveyer belt when you disembark).
The onward transport connections are hopeless as the one train each day does drop you for the ferry and picks up the passengers who have disembarked at the set time but makes no adjustment for early or late running. There are no buses, except if you walk for 15 minutes and a few taxis which you really need to book before you dock.

Comment: The ferry itself was great , very clean and friendly staff.
Disembarking was another story , there were quiet a few of us who missed the train as the organization of getting checked luggage was shocking . We all had to get taxis to next train station and even our taxi driver said getting into and out of the terminal area was a nightmare. Shame as it spoilt an otherwise great crossing.

Arrive early..then sit and watch everyone board before you..
No wonder they get SLATED constantly. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC get the plane…hire a car far easier

Comment: Great little place to go and wait to get loaded onto the ferry. The terminal looked from the inside to be newish. Very comfortable.
