Comment: There are many different services here — I am commenting on the ride to San Jose Island and the evening dolphin sightseeing (Daily Boat Ride and Dolphin Watch). I wasn’t able to to directly find the service to the San Jose Island on Google Map until asking the locals. The boat ride to the island is every 2 hours during the day (ages 0-5 free, 6-12 $9, 13+ $18). The 1 hour long dolphin watch ride starts at 6:30 (or one hour before sunset). Both were well performed. All were friendly.

Comment: Considering the amount of tourists that visit and add to the Port Aransas economy, you would think that the people that work here would be courteous. Apparently this guy (Mike) lacks the people skills to be in front of paying customers.

Fortunately I recorded the attached video before the Jetty Boat arrived. Clearly in in the video you can see that there are lot of people waiting in line. There’s no way the jetty boat would’ve been able to make one trip with this amount of people. Mike waved the people that had carts to board first. I was at the end of line with no way of cutting everyone off. When I approached the dock, her smarts off to me and says “there’s always one!” In front of my daughter I felt embarrassed and angry. He was upset because now he had to make another trip and come back and pick us and 5 other passengers. As it were my fault.

Mike, if you don’t like your job, then quit!

Comment: You have to take the jetty boat across to get to the island of St Joseph. The crew on the boat was outstanding, very helpful very professional and the captain super nice and accommodating.

Comment: We arrived there at 900 Typhon Drive & had a hard time finding the office. For now, the office is the right of Virginia Bay in a trailer with a & white sign outside that says Fisherman’s Wharf. Across down the way from Coach. I called them & they answered the, and told us where to find the office. For now, they have signs that say masks hand sanitizer for the ride to San Jose Island. I went with my three young boys & it easy. We do not have masks but we were only one for a fisherman. Bring everything you for day and bag the trash up to take with you. Gorgeous sand and water. Lots of beautiful shells.
