Comment: Several key historic events have taken place in Harpers Ferry. One of them being John Brown’s Raid. The farthest downtown portion is a national park. Great visitor center. Lots of things to do and see including the Appalachian Trail.

Comment: Harper’s ferry old town location. Nice place to come and visit historic stores and bars all free of cost. Parking is $20 per day, and if you have state park.pass, it’s included in it. Buses run from parking to downtown and back.

Comment: Been to Harpers Ferry several times. It’s like my ‘happy place’. Very quaint and full of history. And the views…….amazing.
It was interesting to find out that the ‘fort’ isn’t in its original location. Originally it was a few hundred feet up an embankment. My pano pic show the obelisk marker, of the original site.
